      LUXURY HOLIDAY COTTAGES IN CORNWALL
What my customers say:

"Charlestown is such a delightful place to switch off and unwind, we love the area's heritage, the Tall Ships, coastal walks and wonderful dining. We were thrilled with Madi Mae's cottage, it was homely, warm and stylishly furnished, thank you!"

Local Cuisine

Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver have certainly helped put gourmet Cornwall on the map and our local cuisine will not disappoint food lovers

Charlestown Area
For good pub food, the Rashleigh Arms and the Harbourside Inn deliver both contemporary and traditional choices. Wreckers (01726 879053) and the Pier House (01726 67955) serve an imaginative and mouth watering selection of fresh local seafood, Cornish Lamb and Beef. For a contemporary setting Austells (01726 813888) boasts an accomplished chef who is reputed to serve some of the highest quality cuisine in the area and The School House (01726 842474) in Pentewan run by a dedicated husband and wife team will surpass your expectations with tempting choices such as Twice Baked Cheese Souffle, Cornish Rack of Lamb and an aromatic Seafood Stew; the Sticky Toffee Pudding topped with caramelised hazelnuts and drizzled with ice cold cream is a personal favourite!

Fowey Area
With so many first-rate places to dine, it is hard to champion one over another. Most offer a scrumptious selection of locally caught seafood, inspiring menus and an estuary view to accompany! As a family we all love to go to Sam’s (01726 832273) music from all eras, memorabilia clad walls and a young, friendly staff who can regularly be seen singing and dancing, all add to the spirited character of this restaurant, popular with locals and visitors alike. The cleverly devised menu satisfies old and young from the famous homemade Sam Burger to the more sophisticated Bouillabaisse and Lobster. For an adult’s treat the Food for Thought (01726 832221) located in the heart of Fowey on the town quay has to be one of the finest restaurants in the area; an intimate setting with stunning views over the estuary, terrific menu and exquisite wine selection to accompany. The King of Prussia (01726 833694) enjoying elevated views over the estuary and The Ship Inn (01726 832230) tucked away at the foot of the ancient St Fimbarrus Church, can only be described as gastro pubs, both equally charismatic and in their original form, just as they should be! Legend has it that the panelled room in The Ship Inn has a secret tunnel leading to Readymoney Cove which once serviced the infamous smuggling industry.
