Why our family holidays are a cut above the rest

Families with young children face even greater challenges! Packing not only adequate clothing but also travel cots, pushchairs, bath seats, toys etc just add to the stress of holidaying with children.

As a Mother of 4, I know all too well that holidays can soon become such hard work that you´d rather be at home with your tool box of toys, books and games, all in the comfort of your own home where the essentials are to hand. I have considered all aspects of making your family holiday as stress free as possible by providing all those home from home essentials, from steam-sterilizers, cots and high chairs, baby changing facilities, stairgates, pushchairs and bouncy chairs to towels and hairdryers.

When completing the on-line booking form, please indicate your needs on the tool box table and I will ensure that everything you have requested is delivered to the cottage prior to your arrival. Charlestown boasts two beaches, one on either side of the harbour wall, a haven for families with children. The beaches are beautiful all year round, on a sunny day fun can be had exploring the many rock pools and paddling in the rippling waves and then enjoying a barbeque at home, just a couple of minutes walk from the beach.

On a winter´s day for me at least, the beach has an even greater charm, there’s nothing we enjoy more than a brisk walk to the beach, clad in woolly hats and jumpers, where my children collect pebbles; when we´ve ingested enough invigorating sea air we head off home to paint our pebbles and enjoy a warming mug of hot chocolate and marshmallows! On Sundays, forget the hot chocolate and head for The Pier House Hotel, they serve a wonderful carvery roast lunch suitable for guests of all ages!

Our exclusive babysitting service is available 7 nights a week, so you can enjoy the fine local cuisine in the knowledge that your children are being cared for by professional and qualified nursery nurses.

My focus is on maximising your relaxation and enjoyment in this picturesque Cornish port, so you can all have a holiday to treasure forever.

Visit our Ponies!

Your children are very welcome to visit our stables in Charlestown and meet David the Dartmoor Pony and Smartie Girl the Shetland Pony, and those brave enough can feed the ponies an apple or assist in their daily beauty regime.
