Christmas and Easter
At Christmas time you will find your accommodation warm, cosy and festively decorated.
There are many local festivities to join in, from Carol Singing with warm mince pies and mulled wine to Santa having a sneaky pint on route through the villages and towns.
The Eden Project celebrate 'A Time of Gifts' with their own Victorian Festive Market of locally produced treats and hand-made gifts. Ice-skating at Eden’s superb rink is a very festive afternoon out for the family and if you cannot be tempted on to the ice, spicy mulled wine and hot chocolate is available while you watch the skaters and admire the enchanting display of twinkling trees, stars and lanterns. Staking sessions can be booked in advance, which is generally a good idea, either online at www.edenproject.com Or by telephone on 01726 811911.

Fowey Christmas Market was first held in 2005 and was such a success that it more than doubled in size the following year. Around 100 local traders occupy several heated marquees on the town quay and the town hall selling a fantastic variety of locally-made crafts, food, drink and plenty of mulled wine to keep you going. The market is usually held during the first week of December, please email info@charlestowncornishcottages.co.uk or telephone 01726 73332 for this year's dates.
Mousehole is a very merry place to be on 23rd December Tom Bawcock's Eve. The villagers remember a brave man called Tom Bawcock who saved the village from starvation during a particularly stormy winter. During a lull in the storm he ventured out into the seas and caught enough fish to prevent the village from starving until the bad weather abated. Today, Stargazy Pie is eaten by locals and served at the Ship Inn on the quay, on 23rd December every year.
The Christmas lights in Mousehole are so famous, people from all over the UK travel to see them. The lights are so extensive, the local villagers start preparations in September each year. They are switched on in the middle of December until the Friday at the end of the first week of the New Year. You can see the lights every day from 5 p.m. until midnight. It is a magical sight to see.
Easter is equally magical; our younger guests can expect a basket of gifts from the Easter Bunny.
